YOGA
Christine began practicing yoga as a way to relieve stress and to
reclaim her inner peace & center in 1991. She understands and
deeply recognizes the need for stress management in today's culture
and its' resultant health issues. She has created an eclectic blend
of various yogic styles to bring a gentle therapeutic approach to
her classes.
She honors each student's unique journey toward growth & health.
She guides her class to transform their quality of life through warm
encouragement & compassion. Students learn to deeply re-connect
with their bodies, breath, and spirits - healing & strengthening
on all levels.
Christine has trained with Guruma Nita Khare of Pune, India and through
the Mt. Madonna Center. Also certified by the Natl. Multiple Sclerosis
Society for yoga instruction for people dealing with MS. Due to this
training she is keenly aware of posture adaptation for each individual's
needs. She has been teaching throughout the East Bay since 1999.

REIKI
Reiki is a holistic health technique that promotes healing and well
being.
Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") means "Universal Life
Energy", the vital life force that flows within each of us.
It is well established by modern medicine that the functions &
metabolism of the human body are electrochemical systems & that
it also contains electromagnetic fields. Stress, sickness &
injury cause disruptions and blockages in the flow of this energy.
Reiki recreates balance in our energy fields or centers, and thus
supports and accelerates the body's natural ability to heal itself.
Reiki addresses the body, mind and spirit. The energy can aid in
healing on physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual levels.
It is non-invasive and nurturing and works in conjunction with all
other medical or therapeutic techniques. Reiki is a wonderful addition
to care during pregnancy. It is also helpful in renewing one's sense
of vitality in an otherwise healthy individual.
Reiki's healing properties can also be utilized with your pets by
either hands-on or distant healing techniques.
